“The Gateway to the World,” Germany’s second largest city Hamburg is a by-word for excitement, a place where the world meets through trade. It has throughout its lengthy history suffered devastating invasions, floods, fires and bombing. But each time it has arisen Phoenix-like, bigger and better, with a wonderful array of architecture. It is also home to some of the most important Museums and Art and Design collections in the world, all to be explored on this lovely new tour in the company of art and architecture expert Mike Hope.
